On my most recent trip to the Seychelles my last stop was on beautiful Praslin, my favourite island in the Seychelles (apart from the privates 😉 I shot at Chalets Coté Mer and Colibri hotel. The views from this property are absolutely amazing wherever you look as you are perched on the side of a hill close by to the jetty. I was super impressed with the rooms (which were wonderfully spacious) and especially the food, which was deliciously yummy all the time! The hotel is run by two wonderful people, Stephan and Sylvie who are at hand to help you whenever you need it and all the other staff was equally as friendly.
The pool area for me was a winner, beautifully decorated with modern loungers and a staircase that goes directly into the ocean that opens up to a wonderful world of snorkeling. I saw a parrotfish which must have easily been the size of my torso, right next to the rocks you’ll see in the photos below. The snorkeling was really amazing. The hotel is a great base for exploring the island which is a must-do where visiting Seychelles. You definitely can’t stay in one place and expect to see everything the islands have to offer. There is just too much!
As the sun sets the jetty lights up and the lights in the distance from La Digue make for a beautiful sky and you can easily sit on your balcony and watch the stars for hours. Praslin never fails to impress…
