Hospitality Photography

I have traveled throughout Africa photographing lodges and hotels including places like Selous Game reserve, Tanzania, Saadani National Park Tanzania, all over South Africa, Botswana, Zanzibar and private islands. It is one of my favourite types of photography and I absolutely love traveling. Apart from the normal, I have also photographed boats and even a luxury original dhow – so no space is too challenging for me.

All of my hospitality photography is done through my artistic eye while still keeping in mind what a client wants to see when looking through a brochure or website. Having an award winning background in advertising helps me to understand this. I also appreciate that prospective clients do not want to look the same as every other lodge  so a style that suits the accommodation, the image you are trying to portray, and the look that you are going for is always chosen.

Awards

I am a two time Sony Profoto Award winner. One for a Silver in the Wildlife category and the other for a Bronze also in the Wildlife category. In early 2010 I won an internet Getaway Magazine photo competition for an image that portrayed Summer Holiday. Lastly I am a three times Loerie awards (South African Advertising Awards)  finalist and a Silver winner for Visual communication in advertising.
